1.Read the Mississippi River facts.
读前活动一： 以课前作业的形式让学生阅读美国的密西西比河的历史以及它对于美国发展的意义，了解小说的地理背景。
2.Read the history of the states around the 19th century
读前活动二： 让学生阅读19世纪美国历史，主要事件是南北战争和奴隶制度的废除。目的是让学生了解哈克贝利历险
记的社会背景。
3.Read the introduction of Mark Twain on page 29
读前活动三： 让学生阅读文化角马克吐温的介绍，了解小说的作者。
4.Read the novel---The adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
读前活动四： 给学生一定时间读哈克贝利历险记，体会小说内容。
5. Write a summary of the novel.
读前活动五：让学生根据自己体会写一份小说概要。
