Method Task -based teaching approach 任务型教学法
Important Points Develop students’ ability to give advice using the given pattern and sentence structures. 培养学生使用模板和句子结构提建议的能力。
Difficult Points How to give reasonable advice and make the advice convincing. 如何引导学生提出可行建议并说明理由让建议更有说服力。
Teaching Procedures
Step 1: Lead-in 引入
Show some pictures about the ways of catching snakes to help students recall the passage. 展示一些关于捕蛇的图片帮助学生回忆课文内容。
◆设计意图：以图片展示的方式引入课堂，激发学生兴趣，让学生进入课堂话题。
Step 2: Review the Text-Matching 复习课文-匹配
Ask Ss to match the problems of snakes and the solutions to the problems. (Key:CADBE) 让学生将单元中的蛇害问题和解决方法进行匹配。
◆设计意图：一方面帮助学生回忆复习课文，另一方面匹配的问题和解决方法是下面建议信写作的素材，为下个环节的写作指导进行铺垫。
( ) 1.Catch snakes but not harm them. ( ) 2.There are only powders designed to kill snakes.
( )3. What can cool snakes to make them sleepy?
( )4. The snakes are less active but still too fast.
( ) 5Once picked up, the snakes try to bite me.

E.Carry a small net in case the snakes would bite.
Step 3: Learn Some Sentence Structures 学习提建议的句子结构
1. Show Ss some sentence structures about giving advice. 向学生展示6个关于提建议的句子结构
(1)I suggest that you (should) do… (2)You had better do…
(3)You are supposed to do… (4)It might help if you could do… (5)It is a good idea if you could do… (6)It would be better if you could do…
2. Ask Ss to write a sentence to give advice using the information in the matching part and sentence structures above.让学生根据步骤二提出的捕蛇方法，套用提建议的句子结构，仿写句子。
e.g. You had better think of a new approach to trap snakes.
e.g. You are supposed to prepare a bowl with cold jelly and some ice-cubes. ◆设计意图：让学生掌握并能熟练运用提建议的句子结构。
Step 4.Learn How to Write a Passage to Give Advice 学习如何写建议信
1.Beginning （开头）
Ask Ss to fill in the blanks according to the given Chinese. 让学生根据中文提示完成建议信开头段落写作
Knowing(知道)that snakes came near the house and made their home here, I am writing to give you advice on（我写信是为了给你提关于...的建议）how to get rid of the snakes but not harm them, which might be helpful.（这些建议可能是有帮助的）
◆ 设计意图：开头段落比较简单，设计成翻译填空的形式，让学生快速掌握建议信开头段落的写作要点和模板。 2. Body (主体)
1) Ask Ss to have a group discussion and give some reasons for the advice. 让学生进行小组讨论并给出理由让所提出的建议更有说服力。
e.g. 1: You are supposed to prepare a bowl with cold jelly and ice-cubes, which will help cool them.
e.g. 2: It might help if you could place the bowl and ice-cubes over their habitat in the evening, because the temperature is starting to cool then.
e.g. 3: It is a good idea if you could carry a small net when you are collecting the snakes, so that you will not be bitten.
2) Inform Ss that there are some ways to give reasons and make the passage more colorful. 引导学生思考陈述理由的不同表达方法，指出其可以让文章更加充实丰富。 …, which+effect …, because+reason …, so that+ result
3) Review some connective words and ask Ss to use them to connect the advice. 复习过渡衔接的各种表达，让学生用他们连接各个句子，使段落更连贯，富有逻辑性。 e.g. To begin with... Secondly... Last but not least...
4)Give Ss a possible pattern. 总结并向学生展示主体段落的写作模板
To begin with, you are supposed to +建议1. Secondly, it might help if you could +建议2. Last but not least, it is a good idea if you could +建议3. + Reasons: ..., because... .., which... ...,so that...
◆ 设计意图：本环节的素材是步骤三的句子，容易让学生引起共鸣，进入语境，层层深入，环环相扣，让学生逐步掌握建议信主体段落写作方法。第一步的小组讨论让学生进行头脑风暴，有助于培养学生的逻辑思维能力和团队协作精神，借助小组讨论的
形式老师向学生明确了陈述理由的重要性。第二步老师用不同的方式陈述理由，意在指导写作技巧，启发学生在写作时应丰富语言表达的方式。第三步的设计采用填空的形式，让学生有思考的过程，向学生强调了文章逻辑性和衔接性的重要性。第四步的模板是对这个环节的总结，既是对内容的提炼，也让学生在以后的写作中有例可循，明确建议信的主体段落写作要点。 3. Ending (结尾)
Ask Ss to fill in the blanks according to the given Chinese.让学生根据所有给的中文完成句子。

◆ 设计意图：结尾段落比较简单，设计成翻译填空的形式，让学生快速掌握建议信结尾段落的写作要点和模板。
Step 5: Practice Writing 写作训练
Show a video about inventions and introduce the writing topic. 播放关于日常生活中小发明的视频并布置写作任务。
假如你是李华，5月是学校的Invention Festival，校学生会将组织关于发明和发明家的相关活动并向学生们征求意见。
请你写一封信向学生会主席Mike提建议，内容包括： 1.组织发明比赛 2.介绍著名发明家 3….
1）Help Ss write the beginning part. 老师和学生一起口头完成开头段落。
2）Ask Ss to have a group discussion about the advice as well as reasons and then write down the body part. 让学生以小组的形式完成建议信主体段落的写作。每个小组分别获得三张学案，每张学案上写一个建议和一个理由。
3）Ask some groups to share their writing and ask’ some students to improve the writing. 老师通过希沃软件在屏幕上展示写作成果，点评作文并邀请学生到讲台点评作文。 4）Present the sample: 展示完整模板

Knowing that you will organize some activities about inventions and inventors, I am writing to give you some advice on what activities can be organized, which might be helpful.
To begin with, you are supposed to hold an Invention Competition, which will encourage students to think and act more actively. Secondly, it might help if our school newspaper could introduce some famous inventors, because it will help students understand how they struggle to succeed. Last but not least, it would be better if you could organize a show about the important inventions in recent years, so that students will be more interested in inventions.

◆ 设计意图：课堂写作训练环节通过视频引入写作话题，激发学生的兴趣，写作的话题是单元话题“发明和发明家”，素材切合全国卷写作的考点，是对课堂话题的延伸和升华，容易让学生产生共鸣，学以致用。写作训练以小组的形式进行，让学生能集思广益，取长补短，培养了团队协作精神。老师及时的点评让学生获得及时的反馈。本环节的亮点是让学生点评作文，让学生培养了自主思考的能力，强化学生对建议信写作要点和技巧的掌握。
Step 6:Summary 总结
Sum up the lesson and point out the three steps when writing a passage to give advice.
◆ 设计意图：总结课堂内容，将建议信写作要点简化归纳成三步,即what(提出可行建议)，How（如何运用句型提建议），Why（陈述理由让建议更有说服力），方便学生记忆，强调重点。
Step 6:Assignment 作业
假定你是李华, 你的英国朋友Peter来信向你咨询如何才能学好中文。 请你给他回信并提出建议，主要内容包括：
1.参加中文学习班 2.订阅中文报纸，杂志 3.....
