学情分析
本课是外研社小学英语（三年级起点）五年级下册第七模块第二单元。本节课主要内容是学会谈论活动、行为或事件发生的时间。五年级的学生学习英语已两年半有余，具备一定的英语基础同时有一定的自学和合作学习的能力，课堂活动参与性强。如表达时间的数字1到12已经全部掌握;整点和半点的表达法也在本模块Unit1里已经掌握;还有对于“will”表示将来行为的知识点也已经熟悉。有了前面的知识基础,再学习用“past"，“to”和“a quarter”表达时间就比较容易接受。
一、教学目标
1、 语言知识和技能目标
(1)能熟练认读并理解本课生词quarter, to, worry; (2)能掌握各种时间的英语表达方式，熟练运用a quarter to (3)能够理解并运用
What time will you be home?
I’ll be home at seven o’clock.以及类似的句子 2、学习策略目标
（1）学生通过带着问题听文本，能获取有效信息，捕捉文本细节，
在阅读中掌握一些阅读技巧。
（2）能积极与他人合作，共同完成学习任务，能运用所学知识表达和交流。
3、情感态度与价值观
（1）本节课以时间为主线贯穿始终来教学，让学生了解时间的宝贵，学会珍惜时间和合理安排时间，养成准时守时的好习惯，做一个守时的人。
（2）学生学习本后能体会记住父母的生日也很重要，以及能合理安排自己的日常作息时间，从而养成健康的生活习惯。

五、教学过程 Step 1 Warming up 1、Greetings
T: Hello, boys and girls. How are you?
（设计意图：通过师生间的互相问候，拉近师生距离，营造宽松的学习氛围。）
2、Sing a song 《What time is it now?》 Ask the questions: What’s the song about?
How many hours are there in a day? 引出关键词time
（设计意图：在唱歌的过程中复习时间的基本表达法，调动学生学习兴趣，为接下来表达时间的复习打下基础） 3、What time is it?
出示四幅图片，复习时间的表达方法 o’clock 和 half past （设计意图：复习旧知，理解时间前要加介词at，为后面的拓展运用做好铺垫。） Step 2 Lead in 1、Learn Activity 1

1、Look the cartoon and answer the question. T:Who is he? Ss：He is Mr Smart.

T:What time will Mr Smart be home？ S：He will be home at seven o’clock. 2、Listen again and answer. What time does Sam call Mr Smart? What time does Amy call Mr Smart? What time does Mrs Smart call Mr Smart？
（设计意图：通过再次听录音，学生对整篇课文有一个整体的框架，教师通过板书，再次加深学生的印象。）
3、Underline the sentences with “will” on the books. （设计意图：操练句式，加强学生对知识的理解和掌握。） 4、Listen and repeat.
（设计意图：帮助学生加深对文本的理解，同时让学生有意识的模仿语音语调，提高学生的兴趣。） 5、T:Why do they call Mr Smart?

6、Retell the text. 7、Show time.
（设计意图：通过学生自己朗读，给学生展示的机会 ，加强对课本的理解。
Step 4 Extension 1、Make a dialogue. A：What time will you…？ B：I’ll …at …
（设计意图：从What time will you be home?延伸为What time will you …？通过学生的对话练习，加深对这个句型的把握。） 2、Memory competition
I will watch TV at a quarter to five. I will play football at half past six. I will ride a bike at seven o’clock. I will fly a kite at a quarter to six.
（设计意图：通过I will …at …这个句型的操练，进一步加深了学生的印象，通过希沃白板5这个备课功能，设计一个与之有关的有趣游戏，提高孩子们的学习兴趣。） 3、Writing
