Teaching steps
Step1 Lead-in  What’s the hobby?
      1.教师用多媒体快速展示有关爱好的图片。   
      2.学生观察并记忆,看图片,说出相应的爱好。
      3.询问同学的爱好;运用such as句型介绍学生的爱好。
     ( PPT展示有关爱好的图片 ,激发学生的学习兴趣。)
Step2. Presentation
      Use of multi-media teaching, teach the new words and key structures.
      1.师结合图片,引导学生用形容词来描述图片中的爱好。
      2.学生积极表达自己的观点。
      ( 用不同颜色呈现不同的内容,便于学生明确课堂学习的重点。此环节为下面的阅读作     好了词汇准备。)
 Step3. Practice in pairs
        Talk about and describe their hobbies.
        1.师示范
 
         2.学生两人一组了解彼此的爱好,并用形容词来描述自己的爱好。 
          ( 对主要词汇,句型结构的操练为后边的写作做铺垫。) 
Step4 Reading   
      1.Listen and complete the chart: David’s hobbies
      2.Fast reading: Read the passage quickly and match the main idea of every paragraph.
      3.Careful reading
      (1)Read Paragraph1 and answer the question: What advantages can hobbies
bring to young people?
      (2)Read Paragraph2---Paragraph4 and tell the sentences true (T) or false (F).
      4.Consolidation:Complete the passage(rewrite the passage).

       Teacher:1.播放课文视频
                 2.呈现快速阅读的问题
                 3.呈现细读的问题
                 4.呈现改写后的课文片段
       Students: 1.听课文音频,回答问题。
                 2.生快速浏览课文,概括每段大意。
     3.生认真阅读课文回答第一部分的问题,后部分的判断句子的正误。
     4.生独立完成,核对答案,然后复述课文

  1. 听音频,学生回答问题,初步了解课文内容。学生的学习兴致得到提高。2.利用PPT      把设计的问题呈现给学生,便于学生完成。3.充分利用PPT的颜色效果,展示问题答案。)
 Step5.Writing   
       Write a short passage called My hobbies. Use as well as, such as or as a result. Then ask students to report.
         Teacher:  1、呈现写作要求和仿写模本。  2、师说明。    
      Students: 1、生独立写作,完成语篇。    2、生展示。
   ( 1、充分利用PPT的颜色效果,不同的字体来展示句型。2、利用多媒体呈现写作要求,基础差的学生可参考仿写模本来完成写作。)
Step6.Summary 
(利用填空的形式,引导学生完成,既巩固了生词和句型,又能使学生认识到业余爱好对一个人的意义,鼓励学生发展自己的兴趣爱好)。 
Step7 Homework 
  1.Ask your classmate the questions in Activity 4, and write a short passage      called My classmate’s hobby. Use as well as, such as or as a result.
  2.Talk about what hobbies are good for people and develop your interests.
