Play the song Rise which is the announcing song for the Rio Olympic Games.  
欣赏奥运宣传曲

 Step 2 Lead-in 
 Show the students two pictures of Rio and 2016, ask them the events in Rio this year.

and try to have a group 
competition about the Olympic

Play a video clip, and then allow students to have a 5-mins preparation of the topic Is it necessary to hold the Olympic Games? And have a small debate.

白文章中心主旨及段落大意。奥林匹克精神的宣扬在视频及阅读中也有所体现。不足之处在于,课前准备时间不够充分,导致奥运歌曲欣赏不完整,不够完美地引入课堂,以后可侧重该细节环节。

Part 2. Debate in groups for 5 minutes and have a debate on the topic: Is it necessary to hold the Olympic Games?

Part 1. Scanning: Read the passage An Interview on Page 9-10, and finish the following comprehension exercise.
