1. 与本课时教学相关的教学挂图、图片。 2. 教学音频。
3. 学生自备画纸和蜡笔。 四、教学过程 Step 1: Warm-up
1. 打招呼。
T: Good morning/afternoon, boys and girls. Ss: Good morning/afternoon, teacher.
T: Welcome back to class. Nice to see you again. Ss: Nice to see you, too.

2. 猜一猜。
T: The first one: It has two long ears and a short tail. What’s this? S1: It’s a rabbit.
T: Good job! The second one: It’s so small. It has two small eyes and a long tail. What’s this?
S2: It’s a mouse.
T: Very good! The third one: It’s thin. It’s so funny. It has a long tail, two long hands and two long legs. What’s this?
S3: It’s a monkey. T: Yeah! You’re so clever.
3. 教师说指令，学生做与“A. Let’s do”部分相对应的动作，活跃课堂气氛， 复习上节课所学的知识。 Step 2: Preview
学生在四人小组内画自己最喜欢的动物，并用英语进行简短介绍。 T: I love animals. Do you love animals? Ss: Yes!
T: I like pandas. I can draw a panda on the blackboard. Can you draw an animal which you like? Step 3: Presentation
A. Let’s talk. 1. 去动物园观光。
教师用课件出示一张动物园大门的图片，和学生进行对话，如： T: Class, it is a nice day today. Do you want to go out? Ss: Yes, we do.
T: Where do you want to go? (学生同桌之间进行讨论)
T: I love animals, so I want to go to the zoo. Look at the picture. It’s the gate of the zoo. Let’s see what animals are at the zoo.

(1) 用课件出示一张长颈鹿的图片，与学生进行对话，如： T: What’s this? Ss: It’s a giraffe.
T: Look at the giraffe. Wow, it’s tall. It’s so tall.(教师做“tall”的手势，强调单词“so”，并解释单词“so”的意思)
用课件出示一张胖胖的熊的图片，与学生进行对话，如： T: What’s this? Ss: It’s a bear.
T: Look at the bear. Ha! It’s short. It’s fat. It’s short and fat.(教师做short 和“fat”的手势，强调单词“and”，并解释单词“and”的用法：连词，用于连接两个并列的成分，意思是“和，且”)
(2) 播放教学录音，学生跟录音读对话。 (3) 学生同桌之间联系表演对话。
(4) 教师请几对学生上讲台表演对话，提醒学生表演时注意带上适当的表情和动作。
(5) 师生就“A. Let’s talk”部分的内容展开对话，如 T: Hi, kids. What’s the name of that animal? Ss: Giraffe. T: Is the giraffe tall? Ss: Yes, it is.
T: What about the bear? Ss: It’s short and fat. T: Great! Step 4: Extension
1. A. Draw and say. (1) 绘画小能手。
T: Who like drawing pictures? Ss: ...
T: Who are good at drawing pictures? Ss: ...

T: Let’s do a drawing competition. You will draw some pictures of your favourite animals. Then work in groups of four and talk about your favourite animals. You can use the adjectives we learned in the last period.
学生拿出课前准备好的画纸和蜡笔，画出自己最喜欢的动物的图片，然后在四人小组内用句型“Look at my...! It’s...”介绍自己喜欢的动物，学生也可以自己发挥想象进行描述。
(2) 教师请几位小组代表上讲台展示自己的动物图片，并介绍自己喜欢的动物，然后评比出画得最好、介绍得最好的一位学生。
2. 学生练习读下面的童谣，然后请一位读得好的学生带全班学生读童谣。 Tall, tall, tall. The giraffe is tall. Big, big, big. The elephant is big. Long, long, long. The snake is long. Short, short, short. The cat is short. Small, small, small. The mouse is small. Short, short, short. The duck is short. Funny, funny, funny. The monkey is funny. Fat, fat, fat. The panda is fat. Cute, cute, cute. They are all cute! Step 5: Summary
1. 师生一起总结本课时的重点句型。 2. 鼓励学生多了解动物。 Step 6: Homework
1. 跟录音读三遍“A. Let’s talk”部分的对话，并模仿录音中的语音、语调。 2. 仿照“A. Let’s talk”部分的对话，编一段类似的对话。
