1. Students can understand some actions about tall, fat, thin and short. And they can do the actions according to the instructions.
2.Students can use the structures: It's so… to describe something  about animals. And understand their descriptions about animals with the help of pictures, real things and the situational environment.
(三)Emotional aims
1.Have the consciousness of loving and protecting animals.
2.Develop the student's mutual love and cooperation.
 
三、Teaching key and difficult points
1.Key point: Students can listen, speak and spell these adjectives: tall, fat, thin and short.
2.Difficult point:Students can listen, speak and spell these adjectives: tall, fat, thin and short, and then put the sentence into practice.

六、Teaching procedures.
Step one:Warming up
1.Daily Greetings.
2.Sing a songAt the zoo
Step two:Lead -in
1.Teacher and students sing a song, At the zoo. And teacher asks students a question: Do you like animals?Then takes them to the zoo to see the animals.
Step three: Presentation
1. Words: Teacher takes students to the zoo to see animals .teach two new words(fat,thin) by having children observe two monkeys of different sizes.
2. Teacher invites the children to look at two giraffes of different heights and introduce two new words:tall and short.
3. Invite students to observe these pictures about animals.And then let students to describe these animals by using the sentence pattern: Look at that …  It's…
4.Play a game :Whack a Mole. Through the interesting game, students can see the words and read them loudly and quickly so that they can master these new words.So Teacher teaches the part of let's do easily. And students do the actions freely.
Step four: Practice
1.Words:Through some interesting games to practice these words.
Game1:Look and choose.
Game2:Help the words find their house.
Game3:Carrot squat.
2.Sentence structures:
Introduce animals:Teacher shows some pictures of animals and
Invite some students to introduce them according to the sentence pattern: Look at that …  It's…
 
Step five: Consolidation
The whole class do the exercises with the music.
Step six: Summary and homework
  1. Today we have learned some new words: tall fat short and thin. And the sentence pattern: Look at the… .It's….What's more important, we should love animals and protect the animals.
  2. Let’s meet a new friend.Teacher invites students to introduce Bing Dwen Dwen using today’s new words and sentence patterns.
And teach students to carry forward the spirit of the Winter Olympics.
2.Draw your favorite animals and describe it to partner.
