一、整体设计思路：发明创造对初中生来讲既神秘又有吸引力。本节课以发明为主题，通过
视频、图片、听力材料等，让学生了解历史上的重大发明对人类生活的影响，从中获取大量伟大发明的信息，激发学生参与讨论的兴致和进行发明创造的愿望。教师可以引导学生以小组活动的形式介绍他们认为最伟大的发明，创意设计网页并在课堂展示。最后进行班级评选，对优胜者进行奖励。
二、教材分析：本节课以”Great Inventions”为主线，通过一系列图片、视频、思维导图等，
让学生对重大发明在人类生活中影响的话题产生兴趣，从而激发学生参与的热情。本单元通过托尼和爸爸的对话很自然地导入一般将来时的被动语态，教师可以借助学生对数码产品的兴趣，引导学生分享自己在实际生活中对数码产品的了解和应用，从而激发学生的学习兴趣。 三、学情分析：九年级的学生经过了两年多时间的学习，积累了一些英语语言知识，如单词、
词组、句型等，具备一定的听、说、读、写的能力。而本班学生以中层为主，有一定英语的基础，个性比较活跃。课堂上，学生基本能听懂老师的指令，大部分学生能参与课堂活动，但学习的主动性与自觉性不足，不能大胆、大方地表达自己的想法。根据中学生的心理特点，教师需通过竞赛、鼓励等方式调动其参与课堂活动的积极性，引导学生积极参与同伴讨论、小组竞赛等课堂活动，完成本节课学习任务。 四、教学目标：
1、 语言知识：学习有关发明创造的的词汇与句型； 2、 语言技能：
1） 能够听懂谈论发明及其应用的对话；
2） 能够谈论已有的发明创造给人类生活带来的变化；
3） 能够口头讲述发明创造的发展，提出自己的意见，并与同学交流；
3、 情感态度：对现有的发明提出自己的意见，并与同学交流；教育学生在尝试新科技
产品的同时，要尊重并保留中国的传统文化产品。
4、 学习策略：能够明确自己在小组活动中的责任和分工， 善于倾听别人的意见，与
同学互相学习。
五、教学重难点：本节课学习的重点为有关发明创造的相关词组、句型，难点是能根据已有
的知识，讲述发明创造对人类生活带来的变化。
