本课时的教学目标的设定，紧扣了新课表的要求，即注重培养学生综合运用英语的能力以及用英语做事情的能力。 2.教学过程
步骤一：利用视频，导入主题
我先用我校学生做志愿者的图片制成的视频，导入新课，同时抛出问题：What volunteer work have you ever done? 让学生简单思考得出答案。学生根据图片特征并调动已有知识，大多数学生能够顺利给出visit the old people's home, clean up the city park等答案。然后再通过两人合作，复习学案，课堂展示等梳理本节课的重要内容，为话题的展开进行充分的铺垫。 步骤二：小组交流，展开话题
学生经过第一环节的讨论，已经调动了关于话题的知识，此时，教师
要求学生通过小组合作来深入交流话题：What volunteer work would you like to do ? Why? (Give at least two reasons) 由于话题贴合学生实际，学生普遍有话可说，讨论气氛热烈，在讨论的过程中操练了本话题的重要内容，这比空洞地讲解要更好。 第三个环节进行中考题型综合填空的练习。

A. 用所给词的适当形式填空，每词限用一次。

此环节既练习了本话题包含的两个单元中重点的字、词的使用，又练习了中考题型。综合填空 C既操练了学生的阅读能力，又为学生后面的写作进行了铺垫，进一步为学生理清了思路。 步骤四：概括总结所学知识。 步骤五： 写作训练，深化主题
小伙伴们，暑假就要来啦！在忙碌的中学生活后，你打算利用自己的业余时间如何服务他人，服务社会呢？大家一起约起来吧！ 要求：1. 请从所给的图片中任选两项阐述你的具体做法.
2. 请说明自己这样做的原因或意义。（至少两条） 3. 字数: 80-100字.开头已给出, 不计入总字数。
经过上面几个环节的铺垫，我设计了写作的任务。由于前面铺垫得较多，而且也给了学生可供选择的写作内容,学生不再像平时写作那样感到难以下笔，无话可说。围绕话题进行书面表达训练既是复习的能力目标，又是实施复习的重要途径。学生在写作中运用了本单元的词汇、句型以及语法，提高了学生对语言的综合运用能力。 步骤六:作业布置
