Step 1: Greetings! Step 2: Lead-in. 1.Show a picture about the Stonehenge. T: What’s it? S: “Stonehenge” T: Have you ever heard about the Stonehenge? Let’s watch a video about it. 2. Watch a video----Introduction about the Stonehenge. From the video we know that when we overlook the Stonehenge,it looks like a big circle.And this class,we will learn more about the Stonehenge. Step 3: Fast- reading.
2.Match the main idea with each paragraph. Pay attention to the reading tips: Read the first and the last sentence of each paragraph carefully. And then check answers. 3.Read the passage quickly and answer questions(Group work) ( 1)Which paragraph gives a general introduction? ( 2)Which paragraphs can you find the specific details? The structure of the passage is from the general introductions to specific details. We have learned it in Unit 5 “Beauty in common things” Step 4: Careful reading. (Group work) Tips: read the passage sentence by sentence. 1. Read Para.1 and finish the mind map.           2. Read Para.2 and fill in the chart.
3. Read Para.3 and fill in the chart.
4. Read Para.4 and answer the questions.
