一、 课型：Reading and writing 二、 教学目标：
1.通过本课的学习，学生能够正确运用下列单词和词组tonight, read out, winner, compared with, even though, rush, blouse, skirt, protect sth against sth, singer, congratulations, headmaster, present. 2. 能够读懂有关摄影比赛的文章。 3.能够运用定语从句谈论照片。
4.能够根据自己的爱好检索资料，组织语言介绍自己所喜欢的东西。 三、 教学重难点：
1.能够读懂有关摄影比赛的文章。 2.能用定语从句介绍照片。 四、学情分析：
我校属于城乡结合部，大部分学生对于英语的运用能力还不够强，学习英语的兴趣不够浓厚，学生功底比较弱。 五、教学内容和方法
本课文介绍了今年摄影大赛的获奖人、获奖照片和获奖理由。课文按照四个不同主题阐述了照片的获奖理由，内容充实，同时自然地融合了定语从句，使学生能够在语境中体会这一语法。教师利用学生对拍照的兴趣，设计一系列的教学活动。通过主要的教学活动，让学生学以致用，提高综合语言运用能力。

七、教学评价
学生在本节课中能够复习到单词短语，并能用简单的英语介绍照片，培养了学生快速阅读，从阅读中找出细节，找出答案的能力。通过小组活动，学生的学习积极性也被大大地调动；课堂学习氛围浓厚；学生参与率高。课堂练习可以再增多一些。
