学情分析
(1)八年级大学生对未知领域有强烈的求知欲望和表现欲,从兴趣、生活经验上看,八年级的学生对卡通片拥有极大的兴趣且乐于发表自己的看法,有利于课堂任务的完成。
(2)八年级学生在七年级阶段对新目标教材的任务型学习法已经有大概的了解,掌握了一些如何开展自主学习和小组合作学习的方法。具备小组合作学习与探究学习的能力。
(3)本课是以美国卡通片“米老鼠”为主要内容,通过中国卡通片引出主话题,学生对这一话题既熟悉又感兴趣,所以能充分调动学生学习英语并积极进行阅读。
5重点难点
教学重点:
1) 熟悉以下单词和词组:cartoon, culture, famous, appear, become, rich, successful, main, reason, unlucky, be ready to, character等。
2)阅读短文,获得相关信息,提高综合阅读能力。
教学难点:
1) 学会熟练运用以下单词和词组:cartoon, culture, famous, appear, become, rich, successful, main, reason, unlucky, be ready to, character等。
2) 通过已学阅读方法抓住文章大意,并能根据课文回答问题
3) 尝试用以上单词词组写一段话介绍自己喜欢的电影

活动1【导入】Step I Leading in ＆ Pre－reading
T: Do you know this cartoon? Yes, and I know a lot of children like watching it. It came out in China. Is it simple? The pleasant goat and big big wolf are two cartoon characters. And there are also other cartoon characters, such as pretty goat………
What do you think of these cartoon characters? Who’s prettier? Lazy goat or pretty goat? So we can say lazy goat is not so pretty as pretty goat. And we can also say pretty goat is not so slow as slow goat……… A great cartoon is not only a cartoon, it can be a symbol of culture. Different countries have different cultures. In China, I think Monkey King is the symbol of Chinese culture. But do you know who is the symbol of American culture? Yes, it’s Mickey Mouse. Today we are going to learn something about Mickey Mouse.
设计意图:用大家所喜爱的《喜羊羊与灰太狼》动画片引入新课能很快几种学生注意力,在教师提问和学生回答的过程中引入本课几个重点词组。这样能使学生在摆脱干背英语词组过程的同时,也能了解如何在具体语境中使用它们,这无疑对学生的词组运用能力起了决定性作用。
活动2【活动】Step II While－reading
Task 1: Read the passage and match (Ask Ss to read the sentences)
Part 1 A: Why can Mickey be so popular?
Part 2 B: How much popular is he?
Part 3 C: What is MIckey Mouse?
设计意图: 让学生通过此任务对文章大意有一个快速的,大概的掌握,为接下来的活动做内容铺垫。
Task 2: Pay attention to the time and finish the match work.
On November 18, 1928 He became the first cartoon character(角色) to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
In the 1930s Steamboat Willie came out.
On November 18, 1978 Walt Disney made87 cartoons with Mickey.
Ask Ss to summarize the development of Mickey Mouse.
设计意图:用时间轴做铺垫,让学生通过连线,了解Mickey的发展史并对Mickey的发展史有更清晰的了解。
Task 3: Careful reading&Group game.
Divide the whole class into two groups, and start a conpetition between the two groups by answering the questions in the three paragraphs.

设计意图:以竞争游戏的形式激励学生对文章进行仔细阅读,问题中穿插视频超链接,让学生带着乐趣回答问题,促使学生能进一步细致的了解Mickey Mouse. 通过 这个任务使学生对本篇文章的重点词组和单词更加熟悉,为接下来的课文复述打下基础。
Task 4: Retelling

活动3【活动】Step III Post－reading
T: What cartoon character do you think is a symbol of Chinese culture? Monkey King, Kung Fu Panda or Pleasant Goat?
Monkey King met 81 difficulties on the journey to the west, but he never gave up,so he got the real canon.
Kung Fu Panda fights with bad people and faces any danger, finally his dream comes true.
Pleasant Goat was caught by the big wolf many times, but he was very brave and smart ,so he can always get out of the danger.
We all like them because they are brave(勇敢)and smart, and they never give up.
So, remember that as long as you are brave(勇敢)enough and never give up(放弃), your dreams will come true.

设计意图: 通过对三个卡通形象的介绍,总结出他们的共同特征,及我们可以从他们身上可以学到的精神,使学生的情感价值观得到升华。介绍自己最喜爱的中国卡通片是本节课的读后输出过程,里面包含了本节课所曾出现过的重点词组,学生能够通过这个活动提高对重点词组在语境中的运用能力。也为下节课的影评写作课奠定了基础。
活动4【作业】Homework
1. Finish the test paper.
2. Choose one you like.
A: Do you think Walt Disney is a smart man? Why or why not? Do you want to be like him? Have a discussion with your partner.
B: Try to find out another passage about a little man’s success. Prepare to share with your classmates next class.
