Teaching Aims
Knowledge and skills: Get some reading strategies.
1 Be able to master the new words by reading the context.
2 Develop students’ ability in reading comprehension by learning the passage.
Process and method: 
1.Students finish the reading tasks by working individually ,working in pairs and working in groups .
2 read the title and guess the main idea of the passage.
Read and understand the whole passage through some other strategies, such as skimming and reading carefully for details ,get some information through reading .
Emotion ,attitude and value:
Encourage the students to communicate with others when they have problems or are under pressure. Tell them that communicating can make things better.Make them understand it’s important to keep in both mental and physical health.

学情分析
本节阅读课内容非常贴近现代学生的现实生活,从而学生非常感兴趣,愿意参与各个任务。但是初三学生两极分化的现象特别严重,究其原因:一是,初三
词汇量大,部分学生背不下来,没有词汇作基础,阅读对学生来说就成“无源之水,无本之木;二是即使你把单词背下来,不懂阅读策略和技巧仍然不能取得好成绩。基于上述情况,阅读课应立足本单元的基本词汇和语法,把输入的知识转化为输出的能量,不断开拓学生的阅读分析能力,从而进一步提高学
生的写作能力,提高输出效率.

Teaching procedures :
Step1. Leading in 
Greeting the class
Free talk :  What’s the date today?  How about this Saturday?------It’s Teachers’ Day, and in order to relax myself  I ‘d like to go to the movies . Then ask ss what are they going to do this Saturday?
Step 2 Before Reading
Discussion : Do you have some after-school classes?
           What are they?
Step 3 While Reading
Fast reading
Go through the passage quickly and match the main idea of each paragraph.
2. Have a guessing 
Lead them to learn the new words, and show them next reading strategy: When you meet some new words , don’t worry about them, try to guess the meaning from the context..
Careful reading
