Grammar time & Culture time
 
教学目标:
1.知识目标:
①学生能正确运用use…to…句型表达某物的用途。
②学生能正确使用should,should not去给他人提出建议或意见。
③学生能理解Culture time的内容,了解environment的发音。
2.能力目标:
学生能综合运用所学句型和词汇,有逻辑地表达自己的环保理念。
3.情感目标:
树立环保意识,践行环保理念。
 
教学重点:
1.两种句型的综合运用。
2.理解Culture time的内容,了解environment的发音。
 
教学难点:
综合运用所学句型和词汇表达自己的环保理念。
 
教学过程:
Step 1 Warming up
1. Describe your new teacher.
T:Today I am so glad to be your new teacher. Would you like to say something about me?
学生活动:组织语言描述新老师。
 
2. Lead in.
T: I like reading. I often use my mobile phone to read magazines. And my favourite magazine is “Time”. (介绍“年度风云人物”并引出The Earth.)
 
Step 2 Presentation and practice
1. Review the new words.
T:What colour is the Earth? What are the green parts? What is the blue part? What’s inside the Earth?
学生活动:用本单元所学新单词回答。
 
2. Quick respond.Present the sentence structure
T: All these resources are very useful! Do you know how useful they are? Let me check. I will show you some pictures. Please tell me the related resource.
学生活动:快速回答。
T: It’s so easy for you. Do you want a difficult one? This time, you should say a whole sentence.
学生活动:根据所示图片,选择正确的资源,用use…to…造句。
 
3. Grammar time (I).
Find the rules.
T: What else do we use them to do?
学生活动:Brainstorming.
T: Just now you made a lot of sentences with “use…to…”. How to use “use …to …”?  Try to find the rules.
学生活动:根据例句,寻找规律。
Try to use.
T: Great. Can you use it? Let’s check. Look at these two words. Can we use “use …to…” to make a sentence?(提供water-sit)
T: Do we use water to sit?
T: We use water to water trees. Wood comes from trees. We use wood to make chairs. We use chairs to sit.
学生活动:模仿老师的示范展开发散性思维,进行造句练习。
 
4. Culture time (I).
T: We use these things every day. But do you know…?[呈现一些图片和数据,告诉学生地球上的水、煤炭、石油、树木还能用多少年]
T: What should we do?(引导学生说出)We should love and protect our Earth.
 
5. Grammar time (II).
Find the rules.
T: How to save? Do you save them in your daily life? Let’s do a survey.
Do you reuse water?
Do you write on both sides of paper?
Do you often go to school by car?
Do you often use plastic bags or bottles?
T:Some of you/ Most of you save them in your daily life. Let’s come to a conclusion.
T: We should reuse water.
  We should write on both sides of paper.
  We should not drive so much.
We should not use too many plastic bags or bottles.
学生活动:观察句子,寻找规律。
Try to use.
T: Good, you know how to use “should” and “should not”. And I think you also know what we should do to protect the Earth and what we should not do.
T: Look at this picture. Should we do it?
T: Here are more pictures. Should we do those things? If not, what should we do then? Discuss in pairs. One use “we should…”, the other one use “we should not …”.
学生活动:同桌合作,运用We should not…/ We should …描述图片。
 
6. Culture time (II).
T: We should do a lot to protect the Earth, but many people don’t know that. So we give two holidays to the Earth. They are Earth day and World Environment Day.
学生活动:跟读。
T: When’s Earth Day? When is World Environment Day? Earth Day is on the 22nd of April. Environment Day is on the 5th of June.
学生活动:尝试回答后跟读。
T: Remember every day should be Earth Day and Environment Day. We should save these things every day.
 
Step 3 Consolidation
1. Summarize.
T: Look at these things. They are very useful. We use them to do a lot of things. But there are not too many resources on Earth. That’s “why” we should save them.
T: To save them, there are a lot of things we should do. And there are lots of things we should not do. That’s “how” to save them.
T: Today, we talked about why to protect the earth and how to do it. Can you say something about it? The sentences on the screen and the mind map on the blackboard may help you. Let’s try together.
学生活动:根据板书和PPT中所提供的支架和语料进行综合阐述。
 
2. Make a proposal.
T: You know a lot about protecting the Earth now. But some people around us don’t know. Maybe some teachers here, they don’t know. This time, let’s make a proposal to tell them.
T: How to make a proposal? Look at this one. This is a proposal about saving water. First, we should talk about why to save. Then, we should talk about how to save. Don’t forget your name. Choose one to finish.
学生活动:选择话题,完成倡议书并展示。
 
Step 4 Homework
必做题:
1. Finish the other proposals and share them with your classmates.
2. Put up your proposals in the right places.
选做题:
Find some other ways to protect the Earth and make a mind map about it.
