 2. Make sure students can read and understand the story correctly.
 Ability objectives:
 1. By the end of the lesson, students should be able to get the information about why the postman, the policeman and the farmer don’t like snow and what happened to them.
 2. By the end of the lesson, students can master the skill about how to make a thinking map.
Attitude objectives:
1. Help students to enjoy reading English stories.
2. Students can learn to use a reading frame to read more stories and make their reading easier.
Teaching key points:
1. By the end of the lesson, students can master the main idea of this story.
 2. Make sure students can read and understand the story correctly.
Teaching difficulties:
1. Students can catch the information about why the postman, the policeman and the farmer don’t like snow and what happened on snowy days to them.
2. Students can understand why children like the snow.
3. After reading this story, students learn to make a thinking map to make their reading easier.
Teaching aids: tape, PPT  Teaching method: reading, talking, making a thinking map
Teaching procedures:
Step1: Warm up:
1. Before lesson, let students enjoy a video about a flash called “Snow Time”.
2. Talk about the video.
T: What did you see in the video?
S: ......
T: Today we will read a story, its name is “Snow”.
Step2: Pre-reading:
1. Show the tittle of this story.
2. Show some pictures of the story, let students to get the information about time and main characters.
3. Try to predict: ask students to predict what happens to them on snowy days and whether they are happy or not. Encourage students to imagine.
Step3: While-reading
1. Let students scan the story quickly, and judge their predictions.
2. Teacher makes a thinking map about “postman” with students. Teacher helps students catch some key words from the story.
3. Group work: each group choose one character, and design their own thinking maps. They can write down some key words or draw some pictures. After finishing, do a report together.
4. Reading time: read the story with the tape together.
5. Try to say.
T: If you are the postman/policeman/..., how do you tell this story?
Choose one character, and tell the story. Students can practice in pairs first.
Step4: Post-reading:
1. Try to guess.
Then the sun comes out, snow melt little by little. Guess who will be happy and why.
2. Discuss: Who else likes snow?  What can you learn from the story?
Step5: Homework:
1. Read the story after the tape.
2. Try to retell the whole story.
