教学目标
1.语言目标
   词汇:result, percent, online, through, mind, body, such as, together,die
   句型:we found that only fifteen percent of our students exercise every day
         It is good to relax by using the Internet.
         Old habits die hard
2. 能力目标
  (1) 理解文章结构和基本内容
 (2)培养学生的阅读,表达和写作能力
  (3) 用所学语言叙述自己的一些生活习惯
3.情感目标
了解他人的课余活动,提高与他们的沟通能力。
2学情分析
本单元的话题是谈论学生做某事的频率,在此语境下复习一般现在时,能够引起学生的兴趣。而且学生已经在七年级的学习中对一般现在时的用法基本熟练,也接触过几个常用的频率副词,如often, usually, 对频率副词的用法并不陌生,所以,这部分学生是比较容易接受的,但在语言运用上和表达上还需要多加练习。
3重点难点
  1.教学重点: 理解文章内容,了解调查的基本结构,用一般现在时描述调查表中某人做某个活动的频率,巩固谈论频率的句型。
   2. 教学难点:读懂阅读部分的内容以及学会使用所学语言叙述自己的一些生活习惯

活动1【导入】leading in
一.  教师活动
.1. Do warm-up exercise and have a free talk with students
 (1)How often do you exercise?
 (2) What sports do you like?
2. Show the chart of a survey and lead in the new words: through,result ,percent,mind &body

 (2) Once a week/...
2. Know something about survey and learn the new words

活动2【讲授】fast- reading
一.教师活动
1.Let students read the passage quickly and find what the passage is mainly about
2.Read again and find the main idea of each paragraph. Try to finish the matching exercise.
3.Show the structure of the passage

. 1.Read the passage silently and find the main idea of the whole passage
2.Read again and match the main idea of each paragraph
 3.learn the basic structure of the survey

1. Show the pie chart on page 14
2. Ask questions about the pie chart
Eg:What percent of the students exercise every day?
3.give an example of reporting the result of the survey
4.Ask the question: “do you think the life in No. Five High school is healthy or unhealthy? And why?”
5. Show the suggestion and conclusion of the writer

1. Read again and finish the pie chart
2. Answer the questions
Eg: Fifteen percent of the students exercise every day.
3.Learn how to report the chart

5. Read the fifth paragraph again and find the answers
